The Long Partnership was formed in 2001 but we have been involved in providing accountancy services in the North of Scotland since 1986.
We started out in 2001 as a partnership but soon took our own tax planning advice and like many other business owners became a company. That has saved us a mountain of tax and many of our clients have copied us.
In 2001 the business consisted of just Alan and Helen Long but now employs qualified and non-qualified staff who look after much of the day-to-day routine operations of the company.
Alan and Helen Long have worked together for nearly 20 years and they are still married! Helen specialises in small businesses, contractors and also oversees the client payrolls that we prepare. She also looks after our clients in Shetland. Alan specialises in audit and business planning. Both are very experienced tax practitioners.
